Atos Worldline has Banknet at its disposal, an enormous national network that makes interconnection possible with an acceptance network for national and international cards. This enables transactions to be accepted that are provided via the following telecoms systems: PSTN, ISDN, GSM, GPRS, leased line and internet.
Atos Worldline works together with telecom suppliers to provide some of their services, so as to make ordering and management easier for clients. We do this for mobile connections using GSM and GPRS, as well as for leased lines. These are used for connection to the Banknet network. For GSM, national coverage is provided, while GPRS also offers roaming services with neighbouring countries.
We have a specific type of tailored service for shopping centres, where Atos Worldline handles the infrastructure required for the leased lines for the benefit of smaller shops located in these high-turnover commercial outlets.
Another service comprises the re-routing of transactions that are not handled by Atos Worldline but by another acquirer. We are responsible for routing the transaction to the acquirer, or - in the other direction - to the client.
