Integrating social information (SIS) cards and payments

  • When patients register their arrival in a hospital, their SIS card has to be read.
  • Currently, this is done by the SIS Full CCM programme, which saves the patient’s public data in the hospital’s back office system.
  • Until now, a separate terminal has been used for this, usually a C-ZAM/I type.
  • Soon, registration will also be possible using a XENTA terminal, which also accepts all types of payment cards.
  • This means that in one move you can read all the patient’s data, as well as register his payment (first payment, hospital care costs). Talk about efficiency!

Which cards do you want to accept?

Direct debit cards (Bancontact/Mister Cash, Maestro & V PAY)

  • The most commonly-used electronic means of payment in Belgium.
  • The money comes direct on to your account.

Credit cards (Visa & MasterCard)

  • Your patients do not need to worry about the available balance on their account.
  • No entry costs: if you don't use it, you don't pay anything.
  • You only pay commission on the amount of the transaction.
  • You receive the money on your account within 2 days of the transaction.

Proton

  • The ideal payment method if you deal mainly with small amounts under 15 euros.
  • Looking for the right change is a thing of the past.
  • Proton amounts are saved in your terminal: you transfer them on to your bank account when it suits you.

A terminal and technical support with the Unlimited rental formula (price: 47.53 euros/month)

  • Your XENTA Internet terminal reads Bancontact/Mister Cash, Proton, Maestro, V PAY and credit cards, as well as SIS (social identity) cards.
