Atos Worldline sets a double transaction record on 23 December 2009

Brussels, 24 December 2009 – Yesterday, Atos Worldline, which brings together Atos Origin expertise in high-tech transactional services, achieved a double record for payment transactions in Belgium. On that day, a total of no fewer than 4,493,677 electronic transactions were processed. What’s more, the record for transaction speed was also broken, reaching a new high of 9,414 transactions processed per minute.

Atos Worldline and ING Belgium extend their contract

Brussels/Paris, 22 December 2009 – Atos Worldline, which brings together Atos Origin expertise in high-tech transactional services, and ING Belgium are extending their collaboration in the payment card business until the end of 2013. In addition to existing services, including the processing of all the bank’s debit and credit card payment transactions, Atos Worldline will be exploring new opportunities together with ING Belgium.

Atos Worldline launches its payment terminal for multilane retail solutions

Brussels/Paris, 17th November 2009 - Atos Worldline, which brings together Atos Origin’s expertise in hi-tech transactional services, launches a new Banksys payment terminal dedicated to multilane retail solutions: the YOMANI. Designed as the preferred solution for countertop multilane applications in large retail, the terminal offers a USB interface that guarantees an easy connectivity with the electronic cash register (ECR) through a single-wire concept. Through its internal architecture, the new terminal also matches the multi-acquiring requirements set by the SEPA initiative.

Atos Worldline reveals number of payment transactions processed the 1st semester

Brussels, 23 July 2009 – Atos Worldline, the European expertise of Atos Origin in electronic payments and transactions, is announcing the number of transactions processed in Belgium the first half of 2009. Atos Worldline noticed a growth in payments using Bancontact/Mister Cash in the retail sector. In addition, the economic crisis has resulted in slower growth and lower average expenditures.

Atos Worldline supplies new payment terminals to Lidl in Belgium and Luxembourg

Brussels, 17 July 2009 –Atos Worldline, the European expertise of Atos Origin in electronic payments and transactions, has been selected by supermarket chain Lidl to ensure the replacement of all of its current electronic payment terminals in Belgium and Luxembourg. The installation of 1200 XENTA terminals by Atos Worldline throughout the Lidl chain, will allow Lidl to provide higher transaction speed with greater customer satisfaction as a result.

Belgians used their bank card massively the first Saturday of the summer sales

On Saturday, July 4 2009, Atos Worldline registered no less than 4.075.934 electronic payments. This year’s first Saturday of the summer sales, conquers the 4th spot in our top of the transactions done over one day. In comparison, last year, Belgians used their bank card 3.729.209 times on the first Saturday of July.

Atos Worldline launches Card Stop website

Brussels, 24 June 2009 –Atos Worldline, an Atos Origin company, has grouped all the information regarding Card Stop on a brand new website: www.cardstop.be with detailed information on how to cancel payment instruments. The website also provides a number of tips for safe card usage.

Belgians used their bank card massively the day before Mother's Day

On Saturday, May 9 2009, Atos Worldline registered no less than 4.009.667 electronic payments. This year’s pre-Mother’s Day shopping, conquers the 5th spot in our top of the transactions done over one day. In comparison, last year, the day before Mother’s Day reached the top position in our daily transactions records. On that day, Belgians used their bank card 4.373.924 times.

Atos Worldline receives the SAS 70 type II report

Brussels, 7 April 2009 – Atos Worldline, a subsidiary of Atos Origin, has received the SAS 70 type II report for its activities in Belgium. SAS 70 is an internationally recognized standard for evaluating the effectiveness of a company’s internal controls and quality of service.
