Atos Worldline sets a double transaction record on 23 December 2009

Brussels, 24 December 2009 – Yesterday, Atos Worldline, which brings together Atos Origin expertise in high-tech transactional services, achieved a double record for payment transactions in Belgium. On that day, a total of no fewer than 4,493,677 electronic transactions were processed. What’s more, the record for transaction speed was also broken, reaching a new high of 9,414 transactions processed per minute.
Yesterday the systems of Atos Worldline carried out 4,493,677 transactions. This beats the previous record of 4,373,924 in a single day that had been set on 10 May 2008, the day before Mother's Day.

 

The record for speed was also surpassed. With the previous record on 10 May 2008, the systems processed 9,340 transactions per minute, but during the peak yesterday at 3:52 PM, a new record was set at 9,414 transactions per minute.
